Bluefin-9

The Bluefin 9 "SeaLion" is a two man portable autonomous vehicle built by Bluefin Robotics equipped with a Marine Sonics 900 kHz side-scan sonar and camera.  The vehicle's rapidly-swappable lithium-ion polymer rechargeable battery technology provides it with over 12 hours of mission endurance.

In 2008, the U.S. Navy awarded a contract to Bluefin for $29 million in Bluefin 9 systems for shallow water mine detection and port security.
