The Israeli Navy deploys unmanned systems of various types. The Navy's Fast Attack Craft Squadron 916 based in Ashdod employs unmanned surface vessels for coastal defense. The Navy reportedly used USVs, most likely the Protector, off Gaza during Operation Protective Edge in 2014 and previous conflicts with Hamas.
IDF's Navy has also employed unmanned aerial vehicles off its SAAR class corvettes, including the Orbiter.
